How To Get Consistent Passive Traffic To Your Blog
6-Figure Blog Blueprint
Dear under-monetized blogger...
If you want to make money blogging, you need this one thing. Traffic.
If no one comes to your website you'll never make any money. But how? How do you get traffic to your website? I had this same question when I first got started and let me tell you when I say I tried it all, I tried it ALL!
Pinterest worked until it didn't anymore. I used to get 100,000 pageviews PER MONTH from Pinterest until they changed their algorithm and my traffic went down to NOTHING! Now I'm happy if I get 100 pageviews per month.
Posting on Instagram & Facebook worked, temporarily. I'd spend hours on a post only to receive a handful of likes. A day later, crickets. Too much work for little results that didn't last past a day.
I spent money on ads to get traffic. I heard a big time blogger say, if you want traffic to your site just jump to the first page of Google with paid ads. At the time it seemed like a good idea, until I ran through $100 in no time, I had to hurry up and stop the campaign because I didn't realize it would have gone that quickly. No return on my investment. Big waste of money.
Flipboard, Quora, Forums. I tried them all, anything someone suggested might work, I did it. And...crickets
I was DESPERATE for my blog to work. I wanted to quit my job so bad so I could stay home with my kids.
Before I tell you what I did, let's take a look at what most people do when they start a blog.
You can't spend your time and efforts on a blog if your only plan is to hope people will read it.
That's what I did.
I had this great idea for a blog, so I went ALL IN. Not even thinking about how I would get people to read it. When it came time to try to get people to read my blog, I tried everything above and...nothing.
Nothing consistent. Everything took work and the work I was putting in came back with no results.
After doing a ton of research I realized I had to do the one thing I didn't want to do. Learn SEO.
I mean, what even is that?
I heard these bloggers were making $100,000 per MONTH and it was all because of learning SEO and being INTENTIONAL about what they were writing. Even though I didn't want to learn about SEO, I KNEW I had to learn it.
So I did what I had to do and became OBSESSED with learning about SEO which stands for Search Engine Optimization. The way I like to explain it is by answering people's questions through your blog articles that people are searching for on search engines like Google.
You know Google, the world's greatest search engine. This is the PERFECT platform for bloggers because what shows up in the search results when you search for something on Google? It's blog articles, written by people like you and me.
After a ton of trial and error I finally figured SEO out! After implementing the strategies I learned it took about 6 months for some of my blog articles to start ranking in the search results and then my blog BLEW UP!
I was getting consistent traffic to my website because guess how many people use Google? 89 billion visits a month to be exact, probably even more than that! This is the VERY reason I'm constantly getting traffic to my website because so many people use Google all day and every day and I have so many of my articles that are showing up high in the search results.
Blogging this way makes it truly passive. You write an article, get it stuck high up in the search results and I can make money from that one article for years and years to come. Well, I do.
One of the ways I make money from my blog is through ads. When people visit my blog, pass an ad, that's known as an ad impression and I make money from that.
I joined an ad network called Mediavine. They are a higher paying ad network and require you to have 50,000 sessions within the last 30 days to apply. Do you know what you need to get accepted?
You guessed it...traffic to your website.
I make money just because people read my blog articles. I'm not selling anything, just giving good information answering their questions. The more people read your articles, the more money you make with ads.
I'm making money everyday from articles I've written 5 years ago!
I make even more with affiliate marketing, which is basically getting paid to refer other businesses services and products. That's what I constantly do, I find out what questions people are searching for on Google and I answer their questions through my blog articles promoting products and services to help answer their question.
That's how I was able to earn over $200,000 my second year blogging.
But do you know what you need to make money with Affiliate Marketing?
Traffic.
Learning how to get traffic from Google is the best way to make money from affiliate marketing because when people are searching for certain things they are usually at the purchasing stage.
For example, this is a keyword tool I use to find out what questions people are searching for on Google
In this example, I searched for "What to Buy for Teacher" (I know, it's not grammatically correct I'm just trying to show you something) in this tool it gave me several other suggestions of what people ACTUALLY search for on Google to the related question I entered.
It tells me what exact phrases people search for on Google, how often people search for that question every month (180), and if it's easy or hard to rank for on the first page of Google (because who goes to the second page of Google?)
This is a great affiliate marketing opportunity because the person who is searching for this question on Google WANTS to buy something for their teacher, specifically who is a male and they need help to know what to buy, that's why they are searching for it.
This would be something I would go after because it's a very specific question, people are searching for it (I see it has a search volume), and this tool tells me it's easy to rank for on the first page of Google if I were to write an article on it.
AND...if I were to write this article, everything I would promote or most of the items in the article will be affiliate opportunities. So I get to help the user find some good unique ideas, and I get to earn a commission if they purchase the item from my unique referral link. Which they probably will if they like what I'm promoting since THEY ARE SEARCHING for what to buy.
This is gold, I know :-) but this leaves you with so many other important questions...
1. How do I find more questions like this?
2. How do I write my article in a way for it to actually rank on Google?
Well, after getting a ton of questions and trying to post helpful videos here and there I've been asked too many times if I could put together a step-by-step course so they can go through my process and start ranking like I do for things people are searching for on Google.
I documented my whole process and created the 6-figure blog blueprint.
Every module is designed for you to take action and equip you so you can feel confident that you are writing articles that can rank on Google, setting your blog up for success for years and years to come.
Here is a snippet of what you'll find in the course
